The Story behind RYTSOLA x MOOMIN
RYTSOLA and MOOMIN joined forces because, in addition to our shared Finnish roots, diversity in all its forms is a source of richness for both of us.
This collaboration brings together a unique combination of heritage and storytelling combined with rich materiality and design - focusing on forms and products that rarely take centre stage, yet shape everything around them.
With the 2026 Moomin theme being Comet in Moominland, we chose to honour Tove Jansson’s original story by bringing her drawings to life in an unprecedented way. A story where pessimism turns into courage, and fears turn into dreams.
RYTSOLA x MOOMIN pieces are not mass-produced. They are crafted with care by master artisans in Finland and Italy using first-rate materials and time-honoured techniques. By repurposing surplus marble remnants from large-scale projects in Italy, we assemble natural stone pieces that tell a genuine story of sustainability.
Lasting design is responsible design. That is what the RYTSOLA x MOOMIN collection ultimately stands for: accessories that are elegant yet fun and desirable, alongside furniture pieces that mix quality with playfulness.
